However, there are some significant tradeoffs. For example, while the software has a preprogrammed optimization profile library, it’s significantly smaller than most of its competitors’ libraries. Additionally, you can’t download videos from the internet or burn converted videos to a DVD.
This software hasn’t been updated in a long time, and it shows – when you launch the program, you get the feeling you’ve gone back in time about 10 years. This isn’t a deal breaker, but it’s distracting.
The program took about twice as long as our top pick to convert. Also, while the conversion quality is good, our video experts found significant motion blur and compression artifact – nothing too distracting, but you’ll definitely notice it on a big-screen TV.
